Epic Kissing That Will Give You Feels

As promised, here are four fics that focus on kissing. And yes, they will give you feels. Either happy light-as-a-feather feels or frustrated-and-angsty feels. Or maybe even both.

“Sherlock, that kiss was…it was. Well, it was very different from all the…other…kisses.” He trailed off. It suddenly struck him how ludicrous this entire conversation was, how ludicrous it would sound to an outside party. He rubbed at the bridge of his nose. He resisted a very strong urge to touch his lips. “What was it?” he asked quietly.

Sherlock has done something reckless, and John is not happy about it. Sherlock owes him one. …So Sherlock will pay him back with 1,000 kisses. Okay, maybe a silly premise, especially because it is not established relationship, but just go with it, because it is totally worth it. I absolutely adore all the different types of kisses. And day 116…oh. I LOVE day 116.

This fic is pretty much guaranteed to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. The ending is great and will make you grin, but man, I want to read more so badly.

Sherlock kisses him, soft tiny presses of lips, barely long enough each to count as a kiss. He whispers John’s name over and over between kisses, voice broken and anguished.

Ooo, the emotions in this one, you guys. It’s kind of angsty, but then there’s hurt/comfort, and…man. It’s actually a pretty brilliant balance of fluff and angst, which is rare.

The beginning describes the first time that Sherlock kissed John, and it’s super intense. He’s so desperate and conflicted and…he’s on the brink of despair. Sherlock is like the roiling tides and John is just so steady and solid. I want a John Watson of my very own. Can somebody get me one?

He was probably categorizing everything John did in some sort of mental database. Kissing, taxonomy of.

UGH, YOU STUPID BOYS AND YOUR STUPID COMMUNICATION ISSUES. I was actually thinking of doing a “stupid boys and their stupid communication issues” rec list, but then I realized that it would include almost every fic ever. Why are these two so often shit at talking to each other?

Anyway, this fic starts out with a whole ton of making out. I am a big fan of that. And then it tips over into explicit territory, and…well, that doesn’t exactly have the desired outcome. Expect a bit of angst due to lack of communication. I applaud this fic for being pretty perfectly in-character, and for having some really clever writing. I may have to steal some of Sherlock’s one-liners for use in everyday life.

Sherlock’s entire brain was on fire, overstimulated from an entire lifetime without touch and without affection, but in it all, all he could do was mirror what he knew and the only thing he truly truly knew in this world was John.

Okay, so John teaches Sherlock how to kiss in this fic. On the sofa, after watching a movie and having some whiskey. And oh man, this this is just so soft and sweet and lovely. It’s like a tasty slice of cheesecake or something. It might be too sweet for some people, but…not me. I want to hold this fic really close. And then make out with it. …Not that I’ve ever made out with a slice of cheesecake before. But I wouldn’t be adverse to it.
