Yes, “The New Deadwardians” is another comic about vampires and zombies, but the new miniseries from Vertigo also throws in a generous helping of Sherlock Holmes and a dash of “Downton Abbey.” The miniseries follows Chief Inspector George Suttle, a lonely detective in post-Victorian England, where members of the lower class are zombies, and members of the upper class voluntarily become vampires to escape them.
The first issue of this comic comes out tomorrow, and it seems relevant to several people’s interests.
excuse me, I need to go hyperventilate.

More weird decisions from DC Comics.
If by weird you mean terrible.
DC is pretty much dead to me.
the comments on that article are amusing, though.

beautiful art
I this based on The Last Unicorn? One of my favorites. These are beautiful.
yes! IDW published a Last Unicorn comic, with art by Renae De Liz, and it is absolutely gorgeous. I think these are alternate covers(?) by Frank Stockton.

I really wanted to like this comic but it got ruined by an MCR fan I used to be friends with.
I really wanted to like it because MCR is one of my favorite bands, but I just wasn’t that into it. :<

I tend to take this latest development as a kind of eager confirmation that they are still apparently dependent on ideas that I had 25 years ago.
ALAN MOORE, on DC’s launch of SEVEN WATCHMEN PREQUELS (via wilwheaton)

What.
The.
Shit.
A rare Non-Greg Land piece of art for the moment (don’t worry, I’m capping Uncanny X-Men #5 as we speak), but a friend of mine pointed out, just after I posted this, that it’s really commendable for the artist (Tim Green II) to get in a Boobflounder and Arse-Shot in while Betsy is jumping towards us.
Also, as is so often when artists draw Betsy in her Japanese body….she doesn’t look Japanese.
Oh crispy fried hell. I can’t stop laughing.
I can hear my muscles shrieking at even the thought of attempting this… contortion. Somehow. I think a non-Euclidean universe would be involved.
W. A. T. the fuck. Her limbs vary in volume? where is her arm, the shoulders, dat leg??? …..wtf…just. i wanna clap at the sheer volume of wtf.
I DON’T UNDERSTAND
I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND
THERE IS NOTHING SEXY ABOUT THIS
SHE LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE TRIED TO CREATE A FETISHISTIC SPIDER
that is a damn empowered ladyperson, look at all of the ways she is empowered
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
…wat.
